ARCHAEOLOGICAL AVENUE IN TARRAGONA
From the 4 km long Roman Wall (end of the 3rd century B.C.) only 1,100 metres remain, including three towers (Torre de l'Arquebisbe, Cabiscol and Minerva), a big gate made of adobe (mixture of mud and straw) which is the only access that has been preserved, and five little doors. The wall is about 12 metres high and from 4 to 6 metres wide. |

TARRAGONA CATHEDRAL
The Cathedral is considered to be a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic styles. It was started during the second half of the 12th century and consecrated in 1331. This building has the shape of a Latin cross with three semicircular apses and a transept with a dome. The main façade, which is unfinished, has two elements of special interest: La Verge del Mainell and the central stained glass window. Inside, there are some side chapels that belong to different styles (Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque) and an outstanding altarpiece of polychrome painted alabaster by Pere Joan. |

NATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM IN TARRAGONA
This is a newly constructed building, where you can see the structure of the city walls. It has an important collection of objects found in the city and its surroundings: sculptural, architectonical and epigrammatic remains from the temples and the public buildings, pottery, bones, glass, metals and coins. |

ROMANITY MUSEUM IN TARRAGONA (Roman Praetor House)
Situated at one of the ends of the big whole that composes the Roman Provincial Fprum, the building is a Roman tower which has had different uses along history; first, it was used as an administrative building by the Provincial Administration during the Roman domination, then a royal castle during the Middle Ages, a quarter after the Succession War and a prison in the 19th century. Last, it was opened as a museum in 1968. |

ROMAN AMPHITHEATRE IN TARRAGONA
This building dates from the beginnings of the 2nd century, and it was the place where fights among gladiators took place. In the central part, we can see the remains of a Visigoth basilica, built in the second half of the 6th century, and the Romanesque-Gothic church built on it in the 12th century (Santa Maria del Miracle). |

NECROPOLIS MUSEUM IN TARRAGONA
Built between the 3rd and 4th centuries, it was discovered in the 1920s out of the walls. In the centre, there is an interesting museum where the first finds are shown. The most interesting among them are the Ivory Doll and Optimum's mosaic. There are also many different types of graves preserved: simple burials in wooden coffins put into pits, amphorae, tiles, gravestones, sarcophagi and mausoleums. |

ROMAN AQUEDUCT IN TARRAGONA
Built in the 1st century, it is popularly known as Pont del Diable (Devil's Bridge) or Aqueduct de les Ferreres. It brought the water supply to the whole city. It consists of two rows of arches, one above the other. It is 217 metres long and the highest point is 27 metres. |

EL MÈDOL IN TARRAGONA
It is a Roman quarry dug in a mountain, with a monolith left in the centre marking the original stone height level of extraction. |
